3 Zephaniah have a new class pet!

! 'Bubby' is a female Syrian Hamster who is around 9 months old. We are very excited about having her in our classroom, and learning about how to look after her. 

Wild hamsters are desert-living creatures, who are nocturnal (this means that they are usually awake at night). We will be slowly training Bubby to be happily awake at school break times.

Hamsters are vegetarians, and Bubby has her own special food, She can occasionally have small pieces of fruit or vegetable as a treat.

She is a small creature and is easily scared. Please always ask Miss James if you would like to visit her: you may even be able to hold her or watch her investigate her new classroom in her special ball.
