NSPCC Assembly and workshops
We were delighted to welcome the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children to the academy on Monday to lead the assembly for KS1 and KS2 children.
The ‘Speak out Stay Safe’ assembly helps children understand about different types of abuse including talking about neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and bullying. It was presented in a careful and child-friendly way which was accessible without being inappropriate. Children were encouraged to identify a trusted adult to speak to if they are worried about themselves or a friend. They also learned about Childline, and how the service can support them.
